Biography
Alekssandra M. López is an immigration attorney at Vasquez Law Firm who has dedicated her career to representing immigrants, children, and families. Most recently, at Americans for Immigrant Justice, she represented clients before the immigration courts in master, individual, and bond hearings; prepared asylum, family-based, U visa, T visa, VAWA, and TPS applications; drafted motions and briefs for the immigration courts, USCIS, and the Board of Immigration Appeals; and supervised paralegals and law students. Earlier in her career, at the Orlando Center for Justice and the FL Immigration Law & Justice Center, she provided direct representation to children and adults, including teens seeking asylum and Special Immigrant Juvenile Status in immigration and juvenile courts. Alekssandra earned her J.D. from Barry University School of Law, where she served as a Student Ambassador and placed in the top 16 of the First Year Moot Court Competition, and her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Central Florida. She is fluent in Spanish and trained in conflict resolution, mediation, and collaborative law.
